Two longtime winners of Fortune magazine’s 100 Best Companies list have once again landed among the top 15.

Both are based in the Triangle and were the only North Carolina companies to make the list.

Raleigh-based Kimley-Horn ranked No. 11. The infrastructure consulting and design firm have been on the list for 10 years; last year, it ranked seventh. The company employs 2,840 companywide; 216 in the Triangle. According to Fortune, the firm reported $628.8 million in 2016 revenue. “Young employees at this design consultancy say the opportunities for growth and support for newbies are ‘awesome’ and senior staff doesn't feel like ‘bosses’ but ‘peers and friends,’” says Fortune.

Coming in at No. 15 is Cary-based analytics giant SAS – last year, it ranked eighth. This is the 20th year SAS has appeared on the list. The company is among the largest employers in the Triangle with 6,845; 14,6063 companywide. SAS reported $3.2 billion in revenue for 2016. According to Fortune, SAS employees enjoy on-site amenities, such as child care and dry cleaning, as well as flexible work schedules.

Both companies are hiring. Fortune reports SAS had 121 openings as of February; Kimley-Horn 279.
